Farewell to the class of 2025
On Friday 28th November, 600 students and families gathered at The Grand on Cathies Lane for our Valedictory Evening. I think the venue name is very fitting for this occasion, as it was incredibly grand! It was so good to see all smiles on our Year 12 student’s faces as they were handed their certificates and awards. In speaking to parents on the night, they were all so very happy with the school and appreciative of the staff, who many said go above and beyond to see their child succeed.
As we reach the end of the journey for this cohort, I want to acknowledge the collective effort that made the evening such a success. Our students should be incredibly proud of the resilience, growth and determination they have shown throughout their time at Gleneagles. For our families, thank you for your partnership and support. Valedictory was a celebration of academic achievement and the shared journey between students, families and the school as our Class of 2025 move into their next chapter.
VCE Success
Our Year 12 students received their ATARs and Study scores and every student should be proud.
However, we know that VCE success is more than a score. I want to congratulate every Year 12 student who achieved personal success in their VCE or VM and met their own goals.
Year 7 2026
We are very much looking forward to welcoming our Year 7 students and families to Gleneagles in 2026. It was a pleasure meeting our incoming students at Orientation Day, where they began familiarising themselves with the school and building early connections. We look forward to continuing to support them as they take this important next step into secondary school.

Presentation Night
Last night we had our Gleneagles SC Presentation Evening held at Bunjil Place. The evening brought together students and families to celebrate the conclusion of the academic year and to recognise the achievements of our students. I would like to once again congratulate all award recipients.
Presentation Night is also an important reminder that success takes many forms. While we formally acknowledge award recipients, we remain committed to encouraging every student to strive for personal growth. Each student’s journey matters, and we value the effort and commitment shown by students across all year levels throughout the year.
Term 4 Activities & Events
Term 4 has been filled with a wide range of events, including:
These experiences have provided students with opportunities to challenge themselves, build connections, develop leadership skills and finish the year with a strong sense of engagement and achievement. They reflect the breadth of opportunities available at Gleneagles and the value we place on learning beyond the classroom.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Aneeq Assen in Year 9 who has won bronze at the Australian All Schools Track & Field Championships Aneeq in the Boys U15 200m hurdles with a tie of 27.37s (PB) and was placed 6th in the U15 100m Hurdles with a time of 13.99s (PB).
Updated Dress Code Policy
Our Dress Code Policy has been updated to reflect upcoming changes to the school uniform, supporting the Victorian Government’s policy focused on improving affordability and access for families.
Beginning in 2026, the school uniform will transition to a grey melange academic business pant and business short. This change will provide families with high-quality, comfortable, and cost-effective uniform options that align with the updated Government guidelines.
To support families and make this transition as smooth as possible, there will be a two-year rollout period. This means that:
We’re continuing to work with our uniform provider, PSW, to ensure the new items are available, affordable, and high quality. The storyboard below gives you an overview of the items, including images and how to purchase them.
We appreciate your support as we work to implement these changes thoughtfully and with consideration for all families. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
End of Term 4 & 2026
School will resume for all students on 28 January, and the school office will reopen on 27 January.
I would like to wish all members of our community a very Merry Christmas and a safe, relaxing break with family and friends over the festive season. Thank you for your ongoing support throughout the year. I look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026.
